CVQG members donate quilt to animal shelter

The CVQG proudly presented Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter with a beautiful quilt, “Barnyard Babes”.

Accepting this quilt on behalf of the animal shelter are Lisa Slinkard and Katherine Hughes. The quilt was made by Tana Davis, of Lincoln, Texas and Marcia Albers of Giddings, both members of the Colorado Valley Quilt Guild. The pattern is from Amy Bradley Designs and is called, “Sleepy Acres.”

Tana and Marcia have over 76 hours in the piecing and construction of this special and unique design. Several hundreds of dollars in materials along with their time and knowledge to create this quilt to donate it to raise funds to assist the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter in their mission to care for animals.
