LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Dear Editor:

CoCoTxSaysNo would like to sincerely show our gratitude for the admirable County Judge Ty Prause for his integrity and the Commissioners Court of Colorado County standing up for the best interests of our citizens.

We are finding that it takes a strong community and connection to protect the beauty, health and best interest of the people that live in it. We stand only stronger knowing that our elected officials support the efforts and the voices of we the people.

We sincerely appreciate you encouraging the state legislature to grant protections to counties of Texas to protect our environment and the health of our citizens. We applaud your courage and voice in standing up for us all against harmful developments, particularly against wind turbines and green energy that we are learning is far from green, safe or ecologically kind to our gorgeous countryside and our neighbors that live in it.

Thank you for enforcing permits and environmental studies to ensure that we the people are safe in our homes and on our lands.

CoCoTxSaysNo and the citizens of Colorado County see our Commissioners Court encouraging protections for our County and that of the Great State of Texas. Instead of claiming there is nothing they can do, they are boldly looking at ways to help us and that nurtures trust and hope for our community. We thank you all for your assistance and stance. CoCoTxSaysNo believes that if we continue to connect with our neighbors, friends, families, and local government through thoughtful conversations, education and kindness we can continue to build and nurture a strong community that is healthy, thriving and joined in a common goal for a peaceful, beautiful county and great state that cares about one another and our individual rights as well as treating others the way we would like to be treated.

We encourage our neighbors to join in and learn about ways they can help share education, volunteer to help spread the good word and get involved. It takes a village, and we have a special one here in Colorado County. Thank you again to Judge Ty Prause and our Commissioners Court, we applaud your hard work.
