LA GRANGE — Holman Valley Steakhouse, 10204 FM155, is hosting a fundraising concert featuring country music singer Curtis Grimes with guest Zach Novak on Saturday, March 25.
The fundraiser starts at 7 p.m. and will include a silent auction. Proceeds raised from the concert will go to the Turtle Wing Foundation. Growing up, I knew the importance of family and community support. Today I understand how fortunate we are to have so many service providers in our area to support families with young people with learning challenges.”
Curtis Grimes and his band will work with some of the Turtle Wing members who will join him on stage the evening of the benefit concert.
With over 50 million digital streams, over 100,000 albums sold, sixteen No. 1 singles on the Texas Country Music Chart and a No. 1 song on the national Power Sources Christian Country Music Chart, Curtis Grimes has become a force in the country music industry that can’t be denied, according to a release.
The Turtle Wing Foundation has served as a resource hub for these families, not only connecting them with the services in the community, but helping them afford those services, as well as creating new opportunities for individuals with learning challenges to “grow wings and fly.”
In the 21-22 fiscal year, Turtle Wing Foundation has funded over 200 hours of continuing education to area day care and teaching staff, according to a release. They fully or partially funded over 1500 sessions of therapy, over 500 Sessions of tutoring through area providers, over 250 hours of Social Skills plus hundreds of hours of direct services, including Day Hab, Music Therapy, Inclusive Dance, Inclusive Tae Kwan Do and more.
