Andrew “Showtime” Tobar, 44, of Glidden, Texas, passed away on Jan. 1, 2023, at his residence in Glidden, Texas.

Andrew “Showtime” Tobar, 44, of Glidden, Texas, passed away on Jan. 1, 2023, at his residence in Glidden, Texas.

He was born on May 20, 1978 to Pedro Tobar and Irene Davila Tobar in Bay City, Texas. On Sept. 17, 2020, he married Maria Rendon.

Andrew worked as a truck driver for many years and was the owner operator at his time of passing. He enjoyed quality family time, barbecuing, working on his Peterbuilt and taking weekend trips to the hill country with his wife. He was a loving family man that will dearly be missed by all.

Andrew is survived by his wife Maria Rendon Tobar; daughters Angellisa Tobar, Kelyn Tobar, and Sidney Rendon; sons Adrian Torres, Jesus Medina, and Alejandro Medina; sister Linda Tobar; brothers Ray Tobar and wife Belinda and Pete Tobar; sisters-inlaw Antonia Tobar, Matilde Crandall and husband Nick, Guadalupe Garza and husband Olager; brothers-inlaw Juan Herrera and wife Barbara, Hector Herrera, Rafael Herrera, and Guillermo

He was preceded in death by his parents Pedro Tobar and Irene Tobar; brother Carmen Tobar; and his first wife Marcella Tobar.

Visitation was held on Friday, Jan. 6, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus, Texas and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Funeral Service was held on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Henneke Funeral Home with Deacon John Glueck officiating.

Pallbearers were Gilbert Esperieveta, Byron Rowe, Adrian Torres, Alejandro Medina, Jimmy Gonzales and Jesus Medina.
