Lady Cardinal player reaches milestone

Caylie Neisner reached a milestone in her Columbus Lady Cardinal volleyball career by recording her 1,000th dig with the squad on Friday, Aug. 23, in Schulenburg.

This accomplishment is a impressive one especially considering she is only a junior.

She is one of the most vocal leaders on the team and fans in attendance at Lady Card volleyball games can hear Neisner before they walk through the doors. Her teammates feed off of her energy but while she is vocal, she also makes gritty hardnosed plays every single game.

In other words, she talks the talk and walks the walk. Neisner can be seen flying around the court for the Lady Cards diving all over the place risking life and limb just to record a dig.

Her teammates see this type of determination from Neisner, and it spreads throughout the team allowing them to play with high energy for the entire game. Neisner has established herself as a leader on the team and her teammates are more than willing to follow her into battle.

To reach 1,000 digs is no easy feat but Neisner accomplished it by sheer hard-work and determination. Her and her teammates earned this accomplishment together and rest assured Cardinal fans this is just the start of the long list of accomplishments the Lady Cards will achieve this year.
