Winner, winner, chicken dinner

Winner, winner, chicken dinner

45th annual Friends of the Library Dinner and Auction to be held Sept. 21

Attendees do not want to miss out on the golden opportunity to be a winner, as well as enjoying a great evening out with friends while supporting the Eula and David Wintermann Library.

Purchase tickets today from any Friends of the Library member or visit the library and get a preview of the silent and live auction items that are on display and purchase tickets while there. Tickets for the delicious dinner catered by Monster Bites will be $15; while raffle tickets will be $20.

When arriving at the event, attendees will want to be sure to purchase some of the delicious home-made desserts that will be available in the bakery booth, and some rings for the “last man standing game.”

Attendees can do some shopping in the silent auction by placing bids on more than 100 items on display. For the finale, attendees will want to bid on a variety of fabulous high-ticket items in the live auction.

As Judge Warfield says: “You will want to be a winner, winner, chicken dinner,” but the real winner will be the Eagle Lake Library. All funds raised at the event will be matched dollar for dollar by the David and Eula Winterman Foundation and will be used to continue all the wonderful services, from free computer usage to GED classes, the Summer Reading Program and other events that enrich the community.
