What is happening at the Weimar Public Library week of Aug. 26

The final week of the month August is coming up as the library gets closer to the fall season.

On Tuesday, Aug. 27th, the Weimar Chess Club will be playing from 3:35 p.m. to 4:45pm in the library. Come join in the fun with a great game of chess. Scholastic Coach David McCall will be there to teach new players.

The next day on Wednesday, Aug. 28th, the Library in Motion group will be ready for some relaxation and stretch with Chair Yoga and Meditation class at 10am.

On Thursday, Aug. 29th, Family Storytime is having stories, songs and a worksheet on “About You”. The library wants to learn more about everyone, and what the community’s favorite things are.

For more information about the above events or to renew materials, please contact the library at 979-725-6608 or email library@ weimartexas.org. Check the library out on https:// weimarpl. library. site or on Facebook.

Many patrons stay inside to get out of the heat, which is a great time to pick up a book to finish. The Weimar Public Library has new books coming in monthly, stop and check them out for some great literature.

The library also has movies, puzzles and magazines.

What books are new at the library: “What Have You Done?: A Novel” by Shari Lapena, “Saved by the Matchmaker” by Jody Hedlund, “Shadow of Doubt: A Thriller” by Brad Thor, “The Rom-Commers: A Novel” by Katherine Center (Large Print), “Clete: A Dave Robicheaux Novel” by James Lee Burke (Large print), “Stuart Woods’ Smolder” by Brett Battles (Large & Regular Print), “The Teacher” by Freida McFadden, “Trust Her: A Novel” by Flynn Berry, “Flashback” by Iris Johansen (Large Print), “The God of the Woods: A Novel” by Liz Moore, “The Great Divorce” by C.S. If members of the library are signed up for the Libby app, they will have choices of e-books or audiobooks. If not signed up with Libby, ask the library how to sign up.
