COLUMBUS — The Colorado County Commissioners met in regular session Feb. 27.
A public hearing was held to review, discuss and consider the approval of the partial replat of Big Easy Ranch Estates, Section One, Lots 23, 28-40, Reserve “C,” Mallard Lane Right-of-Way and Upland Drive Right-of-Way in Precinct 3. Commissioner Keith Neuendorff spoke on the proposal which takes place in his precinct. Dane Rice, who is working on the project spoke before the court.
“Basically, what we’re doing is we had to change some right-of-ways to save a few nice oak trees,” Rice said. “And there’s a couple of little areas where we had to shift lot lines and we’re changing those major changes. We’re going up from eight tenths of an acre and five of those lots up to over an acre to make them a little bit bigger and bigger building area within those lots. So, it’s really pretty simple. It was just easier just to do that for South section versus a couple small plats with the all these little changes here in there.”
The court approved of the partial replat.
