First Columbus, Eagle Lake Classic coming Aug. 24-25

The 1st annual Columbus and Eagle Lake Classic golf tournament will be held this coming Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 24 and 25.

Saturday will feature the tournament at the Columbus Golf Course while Sunday features play at the Eagle Lake Golf Course.

The tournament will cost $200 per person including entry fee and lunch for both days and will feature a twoman scramble with four flights, which could be subject to change depending on number of entrants.

The first and second flights are 8 a.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday, with the third and fourth flights being 1 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Sunday.

Entrants may purchase add-ons, which include day money ($60 per team), flighted skins ($40 per team for both days) or mulligans ($10 per person, one per day.) Cash entry only, all prizes will be paid out the same day. 1st place gets $1,500, 2nd place gets $1,000 and 3rd place gets $500.

Carts can be rented for $40 for the weekend. There will be a 50/50 raffle with two winners as well. One ticket for $5, five tickets for $20 or 15 tickets for $50. Tickets can be purchased in advance; winners do not have to be present and will be drawn Saturday night.
