School is back in session at St. Anthony’s and the campus is already abuzz with activity. Summer drew to a close for students on Wed. 8/7 as students made their way back to class. SAS Cheerleaders welcomed students at dropoff on the first day back, and they will host the first pep rally of the year this Fri., 8/16 at 2:45pm.

Cross-country and volleyball practices have begun, with the first cross-country meet taking place in Yoakum this Sat., 8/16. The Lady Saints volleyball team will host OLV at home on 8/19 beginning at 5pm.

SAS 8th graders travelled to the retreat center in Victoria for a two-day retreat to build community and grow in the Catholic faith they have learned and practiced at St. Anthony School. They enjoyed a time of fun, faith and fellowship.

Fr. James Dvorak blessed the school on Friday, 8/9 after Mass. Tomorrow (8/15) is The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (holy day of obligation) so students will attend mass at 8:15am and will still have the regularly scheduled Children’s Mass on Friday at 8:15. SAS staff and faculty strives for all students and families to have an awesome school year!
