Columbus Volunteer Fire Department to host annual raffle Sept. 23

Columbus Volunteer Fire Department to host annual raffle Sept. 23

It is that time again. Columbus Volunteer Fire Department is putting on their annual raffle.

This year the department is only selling 1400 tickets for 25 prizes, $20 per ticket or 6 for $100.

This will be the third year in a row that the Columbus VFD have hosted their annual raffle in support of raising money to purchase new equipment or aid the department in whatever they may need.

All prizes can be picked up from the M-G Farm Center in Weimar, Texas. Winners can take the prize they won, or they can trade it in for store credit and purchase something that better fits their needs.

The top prize value is $1499.99 down to $279.99 for the 25th prize. The department will gladly accept Venmo, or participants can get their tickets from any firefighter or at Columbus City Hall. Funds raised will be used to purchase a new thermal imaging camera, three first responder medical bags and improved electronics for the 1477 rescue boat.

The department is unable to post the tickets online due to the types of prizes. The department will be glad to send participants copies of their tickets beforehand by text or direct message if need be.

The final prize drawing will be held on Monday, Sept. 23.

We thank the community for their continued support of the Coumbus Volunteer Fire Department.
