Eagle Lake Friends of the Library calling all Astros fans Sept. 21

Calling all Eagle Lake Houston Astros fans. You will not want to miss the Eagle Lake Friends of the Wintermann Library Annual Fundraiser Auction and Dinner on Saturday, Sept. 21 at the Eagle Lake Community Center.

This ultimate Astros “collector’s item” intricate belt buckle is a facsimile of the Astros recent World Series ‘ring-top’ and showcases both the team’s championship years: 2017 on the left and 2022 on the right.

On the lower left is 117: the number of wins in their 2022 season. On the upper right is 713: Houston’s area code and location. On the upper left is the number 60: Celebrating 60 years (and counting) of Astros greatness. On the lower right is the map of Texas, with a star representing Houston. In the middle is the Houston Astros logo star surrounded by the words: “world champions.”

Be a winner and not a loser. Get your auction and dinner tickets now from any Friends of the Library member or during your next visit to the library. You could make the winning “homerun” bid and become the proud owner of this priceless piece of Astros baseball history. Can you just hear the umpire calling “batter up?” Step right up to the plate with your best winning bid, and do not strike out. Your community is counting on you.
