Bi l ly Roy Wisdom passed away on Feb. 26, 2023, in Houston, Texas at the age of 73.
He was born on Nov. 28, 1949 in Cleveland, Texas to Bill Wisdom and Ola Pope. Bill married Barbara Ann Marshall on April 7, 1971 in Liberty, Texas.
Bill was a devoted husband, father, pawpaw, and a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He spent the majority of his life in the oil field that took him, Barbara and his two sons across the world on many adventures. Bill loved his family and his beloved dogs, Jack and Tommy boy. If you saw Bill, then you usually saw Jack right beside him. Bill never met a stranger and was always the life of any room he walked in to. Bill was the life of Sargent and everyone knew who Bill was or would know him by the time he left. Bill was always willing to help anyone in need. He enjoyed saltwater fishing, spending time with his family and friends, his dogs, sitting out on the porch enjoying a cold bud light or playing spades on the computer. He loved to joke around with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
Bill is survived by his wife, Barbara Wisdom of Sargent, Texas; his two sons Billy Wayne Wisdom and wife Kim Wisdom of Columbus, Texas and Richard Wisdom of Columbus, Texas; granddaughter Bailey Wisdom of Columbus, Texas and great granddaughter Remington Shupak of Columbus, Texas; sisters Juanice Holbrook of Keller, Texas and Mary Lou and husband Mike Kornegay of Gause, Texas. Bill is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends of Sargent, Texas.
