Columbus football camp has great turnout

The Columbus Cardinals held a football camp at their home stadium in Columbus on Wednesday, July 24.

The camp served as a chance for kids from 3rd to 9th grade to learn, sharpen and hone their football skills.

Players showed up to Memorial Stadium and worked several drills with coaches from the Cardinals coaching staff. Being able to work with varsity level coaches at such a young age is beneficial for both the coaches and the players.

This camp gives everyone a chance to learn and grow in football. With week one just around the corner the coaches get a chance to be in a coaching setting but also get reminded of how fun the game of football can be.

As for the players, they get to learn skills, make new friends, fall deeper in love with a sport, and overall, just have fun. Their camp was unfortunately cut short because of bad weather on Thursday, July 25 but despite that, every kid in attendance at the camp was smiling from ear to ear because they made memories that will last forever.
