Erich Ratliff tested out his new birthday gift, a collapsible fishing pole gifted to him, with his grandparents July 13 at Colorado County’s Pine Cove in a way that might’ve discovered a natural talent. According to his grandmother Susie Ratliff, Erich caught a bass with his first ever cast. On his very first cast he caught this fish, said Susie. “I told him his GiGi said that’s got to be newsworthy. He was so excited about the fish and even making the news too. “
