Rice Consolidated was a program of development and growth at the varsity level at the high school but now it is extending to their Little League teams.
Rice is currently in the process of installing two new turf field for their Little League teams equipped with revamped concession stands and batting cages.
Construction on the project has just begun with the turf already being installed on one of the fields. Plans are to take down and the fences as soon as Monday and begin working on replacing those.
Once the infield turf is installed, Bermuda grass will be installed in the outfield and the batting cages revamped. An event will be held on August 10, at the field where fans will get a chance to check in on the construction’s progress.
Construction is planned to be completed in March next year just in time for the Little League teams’ opening day. The concessions stand will also have a new look for Rice fans to get excited about along with a fresh new look on the field.
It’s an exciting time for Rice Little League and it will be even more exciting when they open their season on a brand-new turf field.
