How did Colorado County react to Joe Biden dropping his presidential bid?

With the breaking news on Sunday, July 21, that President Joe Biden has opted to drop out off the 2024 presidential election, reactions far and wide have been mixed, positive and negative.

The speculation and consensus is that Biden elected to drop out of the race for a second term against former President Donald Trump after pressure from the DNC, and his recent COVID-19 diagnosis.

Unsurprisingly, Biden decided to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris as the democratic nominee in his wake to go against Trump, with Harris look- ing likely to become the first black woman to be a major party’s presidential endorsement.

Trump said Monday night, July 21 that there were only two words to describe Harris: “vicious and dumb,” implying his lack of respect for his potential presidential opponent.

We asked Colorado County residents to voice their thoughts on the recent decision, here’s what some of them had to say below:

Jana Moffett - I think your analytics are down so you’re posting something that you know will ruffle feathers to boost your engagement and get people to comment which will make more of your posts show up in their feed. How are your subscription sales?

Michael Robbie Robertson - when he wakes up in the morning, he’ll forget he dropped out

Susie Olive:

“shaking my head”

Jason Sprague: I don’t think it wi l l sway the vote much. I have a few old friend that are die hard liberals and think Biden is a genius and they will vote Democrat just to keep a republican out of office.

Wayne McKnight: Just hoping the swing voters won’t vote for her.

Todd Leppin:

Thank God! Go Trump!

Mary Hairell: I bet all of Hollywood donated them all that money. They are so glad all their money went to waste.

Daniel Tello - All I see is red!
