Santa returns to Columbus for Summer Vacation Stop

In a news conference held last week at the North Pole, Santa Claus announced the stops on his 2024 vacation tour and Columbus Texas has been selected as the final stop for the third year in a row. Yes folks, that’s right, Santa Claus IS coming to town again. Welcome him and his friends on Saturday, July 27 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Hound Song Brewing Company on Walnut Street.

Join in on the Holiday fun, open to all ages. Kids will receive a holiday coloring sheet and Christmas crayons. Admission is free. Food and beverage will be available for purchase.

Bring your phones or cameras to take pictures with Santa, but please understand this is his vacation; he’s not going to be wearing his traditional redand- white outfit. One of Santa’s elves, serving as spokesperson, advised that “Santa will be wearing summer vacation outfit this summer.”

Additionally, that day, the people who run the Santa Museum will be hosting a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. at the museum to celebrate two new collections that have been added in the past year. The donors will be on hand for the celebration. The new collections include Judy Hawthorne’s 33 handcarved and hand-painted Russian Santas, and an amazing collection of 17 Cowboy Santas, donated by Donna Thames.

Come out and join them with Santa on Saturday, July 27th from 4 to 6 pm at the Hound Song Brewing Company. It’s going to be fun for al l ages. And don’t forget to join in on the earlier celebration that day from 2 to 4pm at the Santa Museum at 604 Washington Street in Columbus.
