COLORADO COUNTY SHERIFF REPORT MONDAY, MAR. 18
At approximately 1:20 a.m., deputy Frey was dispatched to Highway 71 EB near Ellinger for a pursuit coming into Colorado County from Fayette County. After assistance, spikes were deployed and the report was information only.
At approximately 3:07 p.m., deputy Nino was dispatched to Braden Lane in Columbus in reference to property damage. After further investigation, the suspect was identified, and she was informed by the victim that they would handle the matter civilly between each other. Case cleared.
At approximately 8:05 p.m., deputy Johnson was patrolling in Rock Island when he conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation. After further investigation, Kristen Hatch, 25, of Rock Island, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 >=4G<200G - Felony 2. Case cleared by adult arrest.
TUESDAY, MAR. 19.
At approximately 5:40 a.m., deputy Nino was dispatched to the 1800 block of CR 103 in Columbus in reference to burglary of habitation. After further investigation, information was received and a report taken. Case is active.
At approximately 7:06 a.m., deputy Cantu was dispatched to a residence in Rock Island in reference to a stolen vehicle. After further investigation, the vehicle was later recovered on a property near Columbus. Case is active.
At approximately 11:37 a.m., deputy Nino was dispatched to a residence near Sheridan in reference to a stolen vehicle. After further investigation, the vehicle was later recovered abandoned on a property near Columbus. Case active.
WEDNESDAY, MAR. 20.
At approximately 7:55 a.m., deputy Ohl was dispatched to the 3200 block of FM 333, Garwood, regarding a stolen vehicle. After further investigation, the vehicle was later recovered by Lavaca County Sheriff’s Office and released back to the owner. Case is active.
At approximately 1:15 p.m., deputy Lindemann received a complaint in the lobby from a person who had fallen victim to fraud. After gathering the necessary information, he filed a report and completed an IC3.gov report on behalf of the victim. Case cleared.
At approximately 12:25 p.m., deputy Zwahr was dispatched to the 7800 block of Highway 71S near Garwood in reference to a possible kidnapping. After further investigation, Anthony Castenada, age 26, of Eagle Lake, was arrested for Violation of Protective Order- Class “A” Misdemeanor, and Resist Arrest Search or Transport- Class “A” Misdemeanor. Jose Castendada, age 60, of Sheridan, was arrested for Interfere with Public Duties- “State Jail Felony”, and Resist Arrest Search or Transport- Class “A” Misdemeanor. Case cleared by adult arrest.
At approximately 7:38 p.m., deputy Frey was dispatched to the 500 block of Boulden Street, Garwood, in reference to a disturbance. After further investigation, the victim had left the scene prior to arrival and refused to cooperate with the investigation. Case cleared.
THURSDAY, MAR. 21.
At approximately 7:29 a.m., deputy Zwahr was dispatched to the 1000 block of County Road 223 in reference to a stolen vehicle. He arrived on scene and gathered information and a report was taken. The vehicle will be entered into TCIC/NCIC as stolen. No suspect at this time.
FRIDAY, MAR. 22.
At approximately 10:05 a.m., deputy Cantu was dispatched to a residence on Ramsey Road, Alleyton, in reference to a burglary. After further investigation, information was received and a report taken. Case is active.
SATURDAY, MAR. 23.
At approximately 3:52 p.m., deputy Nino was dispatched to the Colorado County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a shots fired that occurred on Highway 71 near Columbus. After further investigation, information was received and a report taken. Case pending further investigation.
SUNDAY, MAR. 24.
At approximately 3:47 p.m., deputy Nino was dispatched to the 2500 block of Lupton St in Rock Island in reference to an unwanted subject. After further investigation, Kristen Hatch, age 25, of Rock Island was arrested on a Felony Warrant out of Wharton County. Case cleared by adult arrest.
At approximately 8:30 p.m., deputy Frey was dispatched to the 2000 block of FM 949, Alleyton, in reference to a burglary of a habitation. After further investigation, information was received and a report taken. Case active.
MONDAY, MAR. 25.
At approximately 7:50 a.m., deputy Ohl arrived at Interstate Highway 10, near Glidden, in reference to an abandoned vehicle. After further investigation, the car was towed from the roadway and entered as stored and abandoned in TCIC/NCIC. Case cleared.
At approximately 10:51 a.m., deputy Ohl was dispatched to the 1300 block of County Road 204, Weimar, regarding a medical emergency/assault. After further investigation, it was determined the injuries sustained were accidental. Information only.
TUESDAY, MAR. 26.
At approximately 12:34 p.m., deputy Ohl was dispatched to the 2600 block of Second St in Rock Island, regarding a terroristic threat. After further investigation, Kristen Hatch, 25, of Rock Island, was later arrested for Terroristic Threat Cause Fear of Imminent SBI-Misdemeanor “B”. case cleared by adult arrest.
At approximately 8:15 p.m., deputy Villanueva was dispatched to the 3200 block of FM 102, Eagle Lake, in reference to a theft. Information was gathered and a report was taken. This case is active pending recovery of the property.
WEDNESDAY, MAR. 27.
At approximately 1:16 p.m., deputy Cantu was dispatched to the Lemur gas station in Altair in reference to possible trespassing located on County Road 16, Garwood. After further investigation, information was received and the complainant did not wish to pursue charges further. Case is cleared.
At approximately 9:00 p.m., deputy Frey was dispatched to the 2000 block of FM 949, Bernardo, in reference to a burglary of a motor vehicle. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case is active.
THURSDAY, MAR. 28.
At approximately 12:13 p.m., deputy Cantu was dispatched to a residence on County Road 150, Columbus, in reference to a dog attack. After further investigation, information was received a report was taken. Case is cleared.
SATURDAY, MAR. 30.
At approximately 2:07 a.m., deputy Blaha was dispatched to the 1600 block of Oak Street in Eagle Lake for an assault. After further investigation, it was determined that the assault took place in another jurisdiction. Case information only.
At approximately 5:57 a.m., deputy Ohl was dispatched to Interstate Highway 10 near Alleyton regarding a wrong-way driver. After further investigation, Shaun Amann, age 24, of Austin, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated-Misdemeanor “B” and Unlawfully Carrying a Weapon- Misdemeanor “A”. Case cleared by adult arrest.
SUNDAY, MAR. 31.
At approximately 7:28 a.m., deputy Villanueva was dispatched to the 1100 block of Fischer Buller Road, Fayetteville in reference to a stolen vehicle. Information was gathered and a report was taken.
At approximately 10:26 a.m., deputy Ohl was dispatched regarding a stolen vehicle to the 2100 block of Ehlinger Road, New Ulm. After further investigation, information was received and a report was taken. Case active.
