RAIDERS SAIL TO 3-1 RECORD AT STATE

The Rice Raiders 7-on-7 team competed in the State Tournament at Veteran’s Memorial Park in College Station, on June 27-28.

The Raiders earned their spot after winning the qualifying tournament hosted at Rice Consolidated ISD. The Raiders defeated Sommerville 20-0, then beat East Bernard 7-6 and headed Poth a loss by a score of 14-13. The Raiders lost to the team that won the championship, Gunter, in the Semi-finals 14-7 but still a positive look into Raider football’s future.
