Brookshire Brothers matching all Brown Bag of Hope donations on July 12

Brookshire Brothers is excited to announce a special initiative in celebration of National Paper Bag Day on July 12. On this day, Brookshire Brothers will match every donation made to the Brown Bag of Hope program, doubling the impact of community contributions and extending much-needed support to local families in need.

The Brown Bag of Hope program, a vital community outreach effort, provides essential, shelf-stable groceries to families facing food insecurity. For just $10, customers can participate in this special initiative by purchasing a Brown Bag of Hope at any Brookshire Brothers location. Each bag contains a selection of nutritious food items to provide immediate relief to families in need. With the generous support of Brookshire Brothers, this matching campaign aims to amplify the spirit of giving and ensure that more families receive the help they need during challenging times.

“Our stores distribute the bags to local schools, nonprofits, and others within their own communities,” said Brookshi re Brothers Public Relations & Corporate Responsibility Manager Melissa Crager. “As a company, we believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back, and by matching all donations on National Paper Bag Day, we hope to inspire our customers and partners to join us in making a meaningful difference in the lives of our neighbors. With so many residents impacted by Hurricane Beryl, these donations are more critical than ever.”

The regional grocery chain is celebrating its third annual Brown Bag of Hope matching day. With the help of their customers last year, Brookshire Brothers gave away 478 bags of food companywide with the potential to feed nearly 2,000 people.

Shoppers are encouraged to visit their local store on July 12 to learn more about the program and make a donation. For more information about the Brown Bag of Hope program, visit Brooks h i r e B r ot he r s . c om/ brown-bag-hope or ask your local store cashier.
