EAGLE LAKE — The Eagle Lake Noon Lions Club received a detailed report from Lion Jeff Cunkleman at their meeting on Feb. 16 about the history and current activities of the Eagle Lake Food Pantry at First Baptist Church.

According to a release, the Food Pantry recently served its highest number ever of families residing in Rice Consolidated Independent School District— 116 families, comprising 435 people.

“It is clear that the need for supplemental food for families in our community has not decreased,” said Bobbe Nolan, Lions Club volunteer.

The Lions Club said volunteers are welcome. For more information, contact Sandra Benge at 979-234-2795.
