CHS seniors recieve scholorships
These CHS graduates are among the recipients of college and trade school scholarships facilitated by the Columbus Education Foundation. This year Columbus Education Foundation was happy to award over $30,000 in scholarship to these CHS graduates. These scholarships will help these students as they prepare themselves for their future careers.
Earlier this year Columbus Education Foundation participated in the Career Fair sponsored by the Columbus Chamber of Commerce which was a great success. At the Career Fair CEF’s goal was to give the high school students information that hopefully would inform them when making decisions on what to do after graduating from ColumbusHigh. CEF provided grades 9-12 with information to help them as they make decisions for future careers. Packets provided information on both college and trade schools. CEF awarded scholarships for students that plan to continue their education in both college and trade school. Going forward CEF plans to continue providing the students with information on making such important decisions.
Some of the scholarships awarded were funded by contribution made by individuals or organizations and are called “Named Scholarship.” Special thanks to the Linda Blair Memorial Scholarship, First Financial Group, George L.H. King Memorial, Columbus Christian Women’s Scholarship and Urban and Elizabeth Burtschell Scholarship. If you are interested in sponsoring a Named Scholarship or having a Memorial Scholarship in a loved one’s name, someone from Columbus Education Foundation would be happy to discuss this with you.
