Dino-mite presentation at the Weimar Library

SUMMER FUN

Dinosaurs are big, scary, and extinct. Maybe that’s why kids love dinosaurs so much.

Monday, June 17 the program “Dinosaurs or NOT?” will be at the Weimar Public Library. The program starts at 10:30 a.m.

Paleontologist, Bethany Burke wi ll be at the library to present dinosaur facts with real and replica fossils. This presentation will help explain the power, strength, and uniqueness of these mighty prehistoric animals.

Burke is currently the lead researcher on Texas Through Time’s marine reptile dig site. She has also served as a field intern at the Montana Dinosaur Center where she conducted field research at a dig site, prepped fossils in the lab, and led museum tours. She is a certified fossil preparator. She has also been a preschool teacher, taught STEAM lessons at camps and clubs, and was a guest lecturer on college campuses.

This is just one of the programs that the Weimar Public Library has planned for chi ldren and adults this summer. Your chi ldren won’t want to miss any.
