The Colorado County Run-Off elections have released their unofficial results as two county- specific positions have been settled. Official results will be confirmed by the Republican Party Chair Tom Kelley.
A total of 1661 voters participated in the various run-off elections held in county polling locations.
In the county, Melinda A. Zajicek won the position for County Tax Assessor-Collector with 63% of the vote after garnering 1,016 votes. The prior TAC, Erica Kollaja came away with 36% of 585 votes.
Justice of the Peace Precinct 3 will be taken once again by Donald Clark after earning 511 votes for over 62% of the vote. Challenger Bennie Zajicek took 303 votes with 37% of the total votes.
For state positions, the State Board of Education District 10 was won in Colorado County by Tom Maynard with 770 votes for nearly 48% of total voters. Mary Bone was the runner up with 609 votes for just under 38%.
The democratic nominee for Justice of the 14th Court of Appeals District for Place 3 Was a split decision by Colorado County voters as they had 25 votes each.
