WEIMAR — The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office of Colorado County is partnering with the Friends of the Weimar Library to host a Walk Across Texas! Adult program.

The eight-week program kicks off March 1. Those interested, can join anytime. The celebration event is April 25.

“Walking is one of the least expensive and easiest way to get fit” said Ja’Shae Carter, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Agent-Family and Community Health. “Physical activity helps reduce your risk of cancer, diabetes, heart disease and stroke. Increase your chances for success by creating a team of eight and joining your teammates as they walk towards a healthier lifestyle.”

Walk Across Texas! has been working with communities dedicated to physical activity for over 20 years.
