At their May meeting, VVA chapter 1127 presented six $1000 scholarships to local Columbus High School seniors.
The recipients and their future plans are as follows: Caleb Rosales will attend TSTC in Waco to become a Biomedical Equipment Technician to help hospitals in need.
Sage Thomas will be attending Texas A&M majoring in Public Health with her goal of attending UTMB nursing school and becoming a nurse anesthetist.
Talyr Tipton will attend Texas A&M to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology to become a pediatric physical therapist.
Kase Weishuhn will attend Texas A&M to study Business and obtain a master’s degree to become a financial advisor.
Kaleb Kuhn plans to attend junior college while playing baseball and pursue a degree in instrumentation and control engineering, ultimately working in the oil and gas industry.
Jayden Trapp will attend Texas A&M-Kingsville to earn a Civil Engineering degree, as well as play football for the Javelinas.
Since 2019, VVA 1127 has presented 24 scholarships to CHS seniors, increasing in number and amount each year, as fundraising has provided for. VVA 1127 greatly appreciates community support for our local fund-raising programs to continue to expand these programs.
