Benefit Concert proceeds to aid Turtle Wing Foundation

Holman Valley Steakhouse will be hosting Curtis Grimes with other special guests on Saturday, May 18 for the second annual Benefit Concert with proceeds being donated to Turtle Wing Foundation.

“For those that know me, know how close this is to my heart. My brother Tim was the most special brother to me, he molded me into the person I am today,” Holman Valley Steakhouse owner Wendee said, “We all have a purpose on earth, and I have found mine! Therefore, with the support of many employees, customers and supporters that have become like family, we are using Holman as a vehicle to support families like mine. Growing up I knew the importance of family and community support. Today I understand how fortunate we are to have so many service providers in our area to support families with young people with learning challenges.”

With over 50 million digital streams, over 100,000 albums sold, sixteen #1 singles on the Texas Country Music Chart and a #1 song on the national Power Sources Christian Country Music Chart, Curtis Grimes has proven to be a force in the country music industry.

This year’s concert will be extra special, as it will also be considered “Jacks Birthday Bash”, celebrating the birthday and honoring the reason Turtle Wing started.

On Saturday May 18, Curtis Grimes and his band are donating their time to work with some of the Turtle Wing members and they will join him on stage that evening for the benefit concert.

The fundraiser includes a silent auction. All of the proceeds from the fundraiser will go to The Turtle Wing Foundation.

The Turtle Wing Foundation has served as a resource hub for these families, not only connecting them with the services in the community, but helping them afford those services, as well as creating new opportunities for individuals with learning challenges to “grow wings and fly!”

In the last 5 years alone, Turtle Wing has funded over $1,000,000 in direct services for those with learning challenges in the rural area of Fayette, Lavaca, and Colorado counties.
