Congratulations to the SAS 2nd graders that recently received the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion! This is a very special day for the communicants and their families; as they take the next step in their Catholic faith journey.
This morning, SAS students will celebrate the May Crowning of Mary by placing flowers all around her statue and a floral crown on her head. This beautiful devotion honoring Mary as the Queen of Heaven takes place in May for a couple of reasons: May is a month with several Marian feast days and it also celebrates the freshly blooming Spring season and the end of winter.
Mr. Art Trujillo visited campus as a Watch D.O.G.S. volunteer on 4/25. He spent the day assisting with morning dropoff, aiding in classrooms and monitoring the lunch room. He was also a mystery reader for 5K and played hard with the kids at recess and PE!
