RAIDERS TAKE TWO BIG LOSSES, FOLLOW WITH DISTRICT DUB

The Rice Raiders’ varsity soccer team had some difficult results last week as they struggled to keep up with their opponents’ high-powered offenses. They first suffered an 8-0 loss to El Campo at home on Feb. 13 to begin the week. Then later in the week when they traveled to Calhoun, the defense allowed their opponents to double the result as they fell to the 16-0 defeat on Friday. The Raiders changed their fortunes on Monday, Feb. 20 against Hallettsville. They scored two goals in a clean sheet victory to sweep the season series against the Brahmas.
