After competing in the Area meet in Thrall last Thursday the Weimar Track team is sending a few athletes to the Regional meet.
The 4x100m relay team consisting of Kamryn Burley, Huxton Kloesel, Jerron Fisher and Dalton Turlington qualified for the Reginal meet. There was one more runner who qualified for the Regional meet in a running event and that was Zach Norell.
Norell turned in a very strong performance in the 110m hurdles and earned his spot in the card for the Regional meet.
The Wildcats dominated most of the field events with four athletes punching their ticket to the Regional meet. In the High Jump event, Jerron Fisher and Sammy Hernandez both qualified and set the tone for the other events to follow.
In the Triple Jump Fisher turned in another solid performance and set the stage for Turlington in the Pole Vault event. Turlington did what he has done all season long and completely dominated the Pole Vault event and secured a spot in the Regional meet.
The Wildcats will be working their tails off to prepare for this meet and will be looking to showcase their talent to earn a spot in the State meet.
