CGC Holds plant sale for foliage needs

CGC Holds plant sale for foliage needs

The Columbus Garden Club has been having plant sales at Brookshire Bros in Columbus for over 30 years. They know that each person’s landscaping needs are unique to their yard depending on the amount of sun or shade on the lot.

Some may want their landscaping to include plants for pollinators. For those who do, they will find just what they are looking for at the CGC plant sale on Saturday, April 27.

The garden club enjoys planting gardens around Columbus with plants for pollinators.

Many customers look forward to this sale because they know that they will find plants that they won’t find in local nurseries, and they may find some that they remember seeing in their grandmother’s gardens. Many could remember those plants that came back year after year and filled that sunny spot in the front yard or that shady place by the swing.

The sale begins Saturday morning at 8 a.m.

Plan to come early because many regular customers know some of the very best plants get bought right away. It’s suggested to talk to the garden club members about the different plants that can be found at the sale.

Also, there will be home baked cakes, pies and cookies that those with a sweet tooth simply cannot resist. For the last couple of years some of the best cooks in Columbus have been making frozen casseroles that can be taken home and popped into the oven after a busy day shopping for plants.

Come by Brookshire Bros. in Columbus on Saturday, April 27 for a fun shopping experience and a great time enjoying talking about plants and gardening with the ladies of the garden club.
