The St. Anthony Tennis team began its inaugural season with a scrimmage in Weimar on April 4.

Students that won their matches are: Boys Singles - Kyle Glueck, Braxton Blaschke, Jacob Muzny, Hayden Lowe, John Foster, Josh Newman.

Girls Singles - Bella Lowe, Keaton Watkins, Logan Glueck, Colette Harrell.

Boys Doubles - Jace Tribe and Cormac Barten, Kaden Glueck and Matthias Walla.

Girls Doubles - Josie Hauerland and Ellie Beaucham, Abby Fuller and Sofia Espinosa.

Mixed Doubles, Deacon Barten and Charly Spanihel, Ryan Heffley and Emma Beauchamp.

On April 11, the tennis team will again play in Weimar, beginning at 3:30 p.m.

Another new event will take place on Friday, April 12. The “Daddy/Daughter Dance” will be a fun evening for St. Anthony girls and their dads. Sponsored by the SAS PTC, the dance will begin at 6 p.m. and pizza, snacks and drinks will be on hand for those attending.

St. Anthony Soccer teams will have their first match today against St. Rose at 6 p.m. at the Cardinal field.

Next week, beginning April 15, Saints in grades 5K through 8th will be taking the Iowa Test of Basic Skills. The group-administered achievement test measures a student’s knowledge in subject areas learned in school such as reading, language arts, mathematics, science and social studies.

Registration for the 20242025 school year for grades 3K-8th is now open to the public. Registration information and forms are available on the SAS website at www.stanthonycolumbus. net or parents can stop by the SAS office to pick up a registration packet.
