A Housing and Transportation Needs Assessment for Colorado County has been launched by Texas A&M University School of Public Health in partnership with The Wellness Council of Greater Colorado Valley, a group of around 200 local citizens actively committed to improving the overall health and wellbeing of individuals, families, and communities within Colorado County.

The Housing and Transportation Needs Assessment’s purpose is to identify the most pressing needs regarding housing and transportation throughout Colorado County. It is most important to gather as many citizens’ unique perspectives about their own housing and transportation needs as well as what they understand are the needs throughout the county.

A Housing and Transportation Needs Assessment Final Report will be available to the public at the Wellness Council’s website once all data has been gathered and analyzed. www. WellnessGCV.org Most importantly, this Final Report will be available for the County, cities, businesses, agencies, nonprofits, churches and Chambers of Commerce for their use in strategic planning, positive solution development and as a foundational component for grant writing to address the issues identified.

Individuals 18 years and older who are currently working, living, and/or serving in Colorado County are requested to respond. Everyone’s opinion is important.

The survey has three sections: Section I focuses on housing; Section II focuses on transportation; and Section III focuses on demographics. Names, addresses and other personal information are not requested.

The survey will take approximately 15-20 minutes. The survey is available online and on paper in both English and Spanish.

Your decision to participate in the Housing and Transportation Needs Assessment is voluntary. However, if you decide to participate, you may skip any question you do not feel comfortable answering.

If you would like further information, need paper copies or would like a Wellness Council Officer to speak to your group, please contact: Dr.Mazie@InHisSpiritMinistries. com You may access the survey by visiting www.WellnessNeedsAssessment. org.
