“Ready, Set, Library!”
This week, the Weimar Public Library will be celebrating National Library Week from April 7 to April 13.
When was the last time you visited your library?
Stop in and check what is new at the library and do not forget to pick up the April’s Event Calendar.
On Monday, April 8 the “Walk Across Texas! Adult program will start. The Friends of the Library and Texas A&M Agrilife Extension is leading this eight-week program to help Texans to establish the habit of regular physical activity.
Grab your friends and create a team of 8 then register your team by contacting the County Extension Office at 979-732-2530 and ask for Ja’Shae.
On Tuesday, April 9, it is National Library Worker’s Day. Tell local librarians how much they are appreciated for what they do for you and the community.
Then, on Wednesday, April 10 the Library in Motion group will be having a fun drumming workout with drumsticks and great music at 10 a.m.
On Thursday, April 11 the library has Family Storytime with “Operation Library” at 10 a.m. followed by Preschool Discovery Time with pretend library at 10:30 a.m.
Friday, April 12 will feature the Beginner Crochet Class as they meet with the adults between 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and the youth group between 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
