St. Anthony gets ready for post-Easter activities

St. Anthony would like to wish all a happy Easter!

Registration for the 2024-2025 school year for grades 3K-8th is now open to the public. Registration information and forms are available on the St. Anthony website at www.stanthonycolumbus.net or parents can stop by the St. Anthony office to pick up a registration packet.

At the PSIA District Meet in Giddings on Feb. 23, St. Anthony placed first overall in the Junior High Division and third overall in the Elementary Division.

Tryouts for next year’s St. Anthony cheer squad were held on March 25.

Congratulations to Emma Fitzgerald, Natalie Glueck, Harper Kramr, Brynn Pilat, Ellie Beauchamp, Abby Fuller, Isabella Lowe, Charley McBride, Tatum Smith, Keaton Watkins, Abigail Wolters, Sofia Espinosa, Colette Harrell, Parker Pilat, Reese Sunderman and McKinley Wright for making the squad.

The St. Anthony Tennis team will participate in upcoming meets held in Weimar on April 4 and April 11. St. Anthony soccer teams will have their first match against St. Rose on April 10 at 6 p.m.

It’s field trip time and classes are on the go. St. Anthony 2nd grade will visit the Dinosaur Park in Bastrop on April 4 and the 5K class will head to the Serpent & Crocodile Zoological Park just outside of Columbus on April 5. Next week, the 5th grade will travel to College Station to for a trip to the Bush Library on April 10 and 3rd grade will visit the Science Museum in Sugarland on April 11.
