Nesbitt Memorial Library ribbon cutting Feb. 16

Susan Chandler, NML director, cuts the ribbon to the newly renovated library. In her speech, Chandler thanked the Mayor, City Council, city colleagues and Friends of the Library for their support. She went on to say “the Catherine Dumraese Trust generously funded about a third of the projects, the city about a third, and the Ladd and Catherine Hancher Foundation, Laura Ann Hastedt, the Wade Family Foundation and your contributions to the Nesbitt Memorial Library Foundation the remaining third. Funding from a LCRA grant, with matching funds from the NML Foundation and the Catherine Dumraese Trust provided the updated kitchen and storage areas, which were recently completed in the Meeting Room.” Community members and Columbus Chamber of Commerce officials gathered to celebrate the five-year update of the library.
