Learn to paint expressive still life with ARTS sponsored event

Arts for Rural Texas is thrilled to announce an upcoming painting workshop with Eric Jacobsen. Learn to paint expressive still life in oil or acrylic, loosen up your style, and give life and energy to paintings.

Jacobsen will guide participants through setting up a still life, focusing on overall design, appropriate lighting, material selection, and placement.

The workshop will cover composition, color, edges, and the use of expressive brushstrokes. Participants can further enhance their work by paying attention to composition, values, temperature, and paint quality.

Beginner to advanced students are welcome. The atmosphere will be informal and friendly, so come and enjoy your time painting still life in a supportive and fun environment.

The workshop will be held Thursday, May 10 through Saturday, May 12, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Schmid ARTS Annex at 105 Main St. in Fayetteville.

The registration fee for the workshop is $375.
