Next Wednesday, Feb. 22, is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent. St. Anthony will have Mass and Distribution of Ashes at 8:15 a.m., noon, and 6 p.m. This is typically a day of fasting and abstaining from meat. Lent is a solemn observance that covers the 40 days, or approximately six weeks, prior to Easter Sunday, in which we reflect on the sacrifice and love Jesus showed us by dying on the cross to save us from our sins.

The One Act Play cast and crew have been working hard to get their play ready for the PSIA One Act Play Contest in Austin on Feb. 18. They will give a sneak peak performance for the SAS student body on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in the cafeteria and for family and the community Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
