Knights of Columbus announces poster, essay contests

WEIMAR – The Knights of Columbus Council #2153 sponsored their annual poster and essay contests.

WEIMAR — The Knights of Columbus Council #2153 sponsored their annual poster and essay contests.

The winners from St. Michael Catholic School received their awards on Friday, Feb. 10 for the Catholic Citizenship Essay Contest and Substance Abuse and Awareness Poster Contest.

According to a release, the KC Council #2153 is one of 17,000 Knights of Columbus Councils that make up the world’s largest Catholic fraternal service organization. An organization spokesperson said there are approximately 2 million members today who put their faith into action through a broad range of charitable causes locally, nationally, and internationally with financial contributions and hands-on service.
