COLUMBUS — The Office of Emergency management will begin seeking feedback during the public opinion phase of the Hazard Mitigation Plan construction period. After seeking called in and written responses from county residents, the OEM will host a public meeting for residents to learn more about the current plan and to provide feedback.

The meeting will be held on Thursday, March 7 at 305 Radio Lane in the training room. It will begin at 6 p.m. and conclude at 8 p.m.

The public is invited to attend to give their own personal anecdotes on how natural disasters and emergencies have affected their land or their livelihoods. The Hazard Mitigation Plan is intended to assist each emergency possibility, so residents can assist with its creation by giving their personal experiences to help cover more potential catastrophes.
