Black History Banquet hosted at CHS Cafeteria

COLUMBUS – The African American community in Colorado County celebrated their culture and history with a banquet in the cafeteria of Columbus High School on Saturday, March 2.

COLUMBUS — The African American community in Colorado County celebrated their culture and history with a banquet in the cafeteria of Columbus High School on Saturday, March 2.

Attendees witnessed speeches and words of encouragement from several influential, black locals as they discussed how black history has continued during the present day in Colorado County.

The banquet catered food for the packed venue and expressed hope to have even larger events in the future.
