Mr. FFA

Javier Mendoza is the son of Laura Lozano and Ines Mendoza. He has been an active FFA member all four years of high school and has had the privilege to hold a variety of offices throughout his service.  

Javier served as Greenhand President his freshman year, Chapter Treasurer his sophomore and junior year, and Chapter Second Vice President his senior year. He participates in a wide array of CDE, LDE, and SDE competitions including radio broadcasting, Poultry Evaluation, and Public Speaking in the Natural Resources division.  

He also has experience showing market goats. Javier has been awarded his Greenhand, Chapter, and Lonestar Degrees through his extensive community service involvement and participation in numerous competitions. Javier has also been in attendance at all district, area, and state conventions throughout his high school career, as well as several supplemental leadership conferences.  

Outside of the blue and gold jacket, Javier can be seen in the Columbus Cardinal varsity football, soccer, and tennis jerseys. He was runner up for the 3A division football kicker of the year award and is currently the captain of the soccer team. He is also Student Council Secretary and Senior Class Treasurer.  

After high school Javier plans to attend Blinn College and earn his degree in HVAC. Javier is thankful for all of the life skills he has learned throughout his experience in FFA and is honored to serve as your 2023-2024 Mr. FFA.
