St. Anthony will hold an Early Childhood Open House next Tuesday, March 5 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

The “Come Grow With Us” event will allow children to meet the teachers in 3K, 4K and Kindergarten while interacting with the current class and participating in a class activity. Parents will tour the school and learn why St. Anthony is committed to promoting academic excellence, individual responsibility and spiritual awareness.

The St. Anthony School Motto is “Be it known to all who enter here that Christ is the reason for this school, the unseen but ever-present teacher in its classes, the model of its faculty, the inspiration of its students.”

To reserve a spot at this open house, please call the school office at 979-732-5505.

Last week, the Saintly News ran a picture of the St. Anthony sewing students presenting Ms. Dawn Compton of The Blessing Box with homemade pillows that provide comfort to mastectomy patients. They also presented her with a check for $663 from funds collected during Catholic Schools Week.

The Ignatius Book Fair, “Fostering Faith, One Chapter at a Time”, will be open Feb. 28 until 7:30 p.m. and Feb. 29 until 5:30 p.m.

Parents and grandparents are welcome to come by during the day but must check in at the office during school hours. Online shopping is also available at shop. ignatiusbookfairs. com. Users can create an account and select St. Anthony School.

Cold and windy weather snuffed out the St. Anthony track meet on Feb. 17, disappointing the SAS track athletes. However, they were able to participate in Sacred Heart’s meet last Monday, Feb. 26 and they will be participating in St. Michael’s track meet in Weimar on Saturday, March 2.

“God, you have taught me from my youth; to this day I proclaim your wondrous deeds”. [PS 71:17]
