Black History Banquet and fundraiser to be hosted at CHS

Columbus High School will soon play host to a local Black History Banquet to celebrate African Americans and their contributions to the arts and the country. The event is scheduled for March 2 at the Columbus High School cafeteria at 7 p.m.

Event organizers are inviting the public to celebrate Black heritage. Dress is semi-formal, and Mikeska’s BBQ will provide the catering for the event.

All proceeds will go toward scholarships for local students.
