Diana Carol (Heuermann) Hill, 78, of Bernardo, Texas, passed away on Feb. 19, 2024 in Columbus, Texas.

She was born on Nov. 25, 1945 to John Laura (JL) Heuermann and Marie Augusta (Henning) Heuermann in Houston, Texas. On April 24, 1965 she married James “Jim” Hill.

Diana worked as a transcriptionist for Columbus Community Hospital, Dr. Tom Hancher and Dr. Kirk Anderson for many years. She was a member of St. Roch Catholic Church and a member of Catholic Daughters of Americas Court St. Roch.

Diana enjoyed spending time with her family, trips to the beach looking for shells, traveling with her trusty cooler of Diet Cokes and Doe Shakeys (Dos Equis Cerveza) and endless supply of snacks.

Diana is survived by her daughters Katie Hill of Seattle, Washington and Kristina Hill of Columbus; sons Kacey Hill and wife Leigh-Ann of Deer Park and Kersten Hill and wife Hannah of College Station; sister Jeanette Huth of Cypress; sister-in-law Bea Hill of Bernardo; grandchildren Holly Pflughaupt, Hannah Pflughaupt, Austin Pflughaupt, Sam Hill, Mason Hill, Elizabeth Hill, Knox Hill, Hudson Hill, and Maggie Hill; great-grandchild Miles Pflughaupt.

She was preceded in death by her parents JL (John) and Marie Heuermann; husband James “Jim” Hill; sister Katherine Grant, as well as brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law whom she loved so dearly.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2024 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus, Texas. A parish prayer service and Catholic Daughter rosary will follow at 7 p.m.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, Feb. 23, 2024 at 10 a.m. at St. Roch Catholic Church in Mentz, Texas. Fr. James Dvorak will be officiating. Visitation at church will be from 9 to 10 a.m.

Burial will take place in St. Roch Catholic Cemetery in Mentz, Texas.

Pallbearers are Wayne Pflughaupt, John Brock, Ron Grant, Jerrold Grant, Cary Grant, Carl Sebesta and Ted Fritsch. Honorary pallbearers are Larry Sebesta, Steve Sebesta, Sammy Fritsch, Scott Fritsch, Danny Hill, Daryl Hill, as well as grand and great-grandchildren.
