Weimar powerlifters leave Rice with hardware

The Weimar Wildcats traveled to Rice to compete in a powerlifting meet and walked away with two gold and two bronze medals.

The Weimar Ladycats stole the show with three of their competitors earning a medal in their weight class. Ashley Treece and Olivia Cavrera each earned a gold medal in the 132-weight class and the 148-weight class while teammate Tate Griffin secured a bronze medal in the 123-weight class.

They were joined by Brendan Brandt who added the second of the two bronze medals won in Rice. Brandt took home third in 275-weight class.
