I am 54 years old and have been the Accounts Payable Clerk for Colorado County since March 2022. I worked at St. Paul Lutheran Church in La Grange from 2011 to 2022. While at the church, I was the Receptionist, Financial Secretary and finally Office Manager. I also worked part time at Le Petite Gourmet Shoppe in La Grange for 20+ years. These jobs helped form my exceptional customer service skills and my strong business and financial background.
The hometown values I was raised with set me apart from other candidates. I am honest, respectful, friendly, and hard working. I will learn the job and work side by side with the knowledgeable staff that is in place. I believe that with more cross training, the entire staff - including myself, will be able to perform any task required, therefore reducing the amount of time it takes to fulfill each customer’s needs.
Voters should trust me because I am one of them. Whether I see them on the street or in the office, I will treat them as my neighbors. I will put in the work to learn everything required to perform the duties of the Tax Assessor- Collector. I will do my best every day to assist the citizens of Colorado County with the professionalism and respect that they deserve.
I am running for Colorado County Tax Assessor Collector because I heard from the taxpayers and I, along with the staff, will make the office a welcoming and helpful place for the citizens of Colorado County to come for their vehicle registration and title needs. I was born in Columbus. I moved away for 20+ years and came home to help care for my aging parents, the late Bobby and Mae Dene Zajicek. My grandmother and my great aunts and uncles worked for Colorado County, as well as both of my parents. Serving the County is part of my heritage, and I will proudly serve as the Tax Assessor- Collector.
Vote for me if you want a friendly and helpful office. I will make sure all laws are followed while respecting the taxpayers and serving everyone to the best of my ability each day. I will work alongside the staff to meet the needs of all customers.
