Chamber looking for the next Junior Ambassador

COLUMBUS — The Columbus Chamber of Commerce is looking for high school students eager to serve their community as junior ambassadors. The seventh annual Junior Ambassador Scholarship Award is now accepting applicants.

The award recipient will be able to become involved in city-wide events and represent the community. They will help support and promote business to advance economic vitality and quality of life for the entire community.

Candidates must be fulltime students entering the 11th grade in the fall of 2024 at Columbus High School, Classical Conversations Homeschool Program, or One Day Academy Homeschool Program. Candidates must be in good standing within the community and school, promote a positive image, and maintain a positive moral character.

The winning candidate should be available and willing to spend time volunteering for the Chamber of Commerce at events and activities from May 2024 to May 2026. A minimum of 25 hours of service is required over two years. The new Junior Ambassador will join the current Ambassador, Brooklyn Eden, to represent the Chamber.

The Chamber is grateful to outgoing Junior Ambassadors Clay Kohleffel, Julie Ana Gobert, and Talyr Tipton for their outstanding work representing the Chamber for the past two years, and we wish them well in all future endeavors.

After meeting specific requirements, the recipient will receive a $3,000 scholarship toward their higher education.

Applications for the Junior Ambassador Scholarship are available at the Columbus High School Counselor’s office, may be downloaded at https://bit.ly/JrAmbassador2024, picked up at the Chamber office in the Stafford Opera House, or email [email protected] to request an application.

An ambassadorship is an excellent opportunity for a high school student to represent their community, earn service hours, and receive a generous scholarship toward their higher learning. Donations toward the Chamber’s scholarship fund is always welcome.
