Local legal team to give presentation

A free program focused on necessary legal information will be held at the Weimar Public Library at 1 Jackson Square on Tuesday, Feb. 20 at 6 p.m.

At this free informational forum, the audience will be presented information on estate planning, including wills, trusts, and gifts; inheritance rules in absence of a will; determination of heirship in absence of a will; probate of estates; powers of attorney for financial and medical decisions if a person becomes incapacitated; and Medicaid planning to qualify for Medicaid and preserve assets from Medical Recovery Claims.

Michael Trefny, a resident of Weimar and his associate, Kevin J. Hillmer of Columbus, have an office in Columbus, Texas.

Trefny has 37 years of experience. His presentation will focus on general information to guide the audience through the specifics on planning for their future.
